Suharth Foundation’s Suharth Shakti Campaign Reaches 200 Girls in Vikarabad District with Menstrual Awareness & Organic Pad Distribution

Vikarabad District, Telangana — Under its flagship initiative Suharth Shakti Campaign, Suharth Foundation, led by Founder Hiteshi Dutta, successfully conducted a menstrual awareness and hygiene drive at government schools in Doma, Vikarabad District. The program reached 200 young girls, equipping them with organic, natural, plastic-free sanitary pads and the vital knowledge to manage menstrual health with dignity.

The session, led personally by Hiteshi Dutta, included an interactive menstrual awareness workshop, fun quiz games, and open discussions, aiming to break taboos and create a safe space for learning.

Mr. Venkat Garu, Mandal Education Officer (MEO), graced the event as the Chief Guest, lauding the initiative and sharing his commitment to improving skill-based learning for rural students. "These children are incredibly bright — they only lack access to the right facilities," he remarked.

Speaking on the occasion, Hiteshi Dutta said,

> “Menstrual Awareness is not only for underprivileged but also for people in the urban region as we continue to pollute the environment by using plastic pads which are not only dangerous for us as micro plastics enters into our body, also causing a irrevocable damage to the planet, polluting Landfills and Oceans forever. Our goal is to eliminate period poverty entirely and reach 1 million women and girls within the next three years. In a country where 70% of women still lack access to safe menstrual hygiene and where plastic pads harm both health and the environment, this mission is not just a need — it’s an urgency.”

The Foundation urges individuals, corporates, and NGOs to join hands in making menstrual hygiene accessible to every woman, everywhere especially in the Govt Schools, rural, tribal and slum areas where there is zero or very minimal access.
